Al's Story
After high school, I joined the Navy where I spent 4 years active duty. I served as an aircrewman on C-130 aircraft and was stationed in Florida, California, and Hawaii stateside with overseas duty in the Phillipines and Japan.
Upon my honorable discharge, I started college at San Diego State University (where I was living at discharge)in January 1976. I spent one year there before transferring to West Texas State University in Canyon. While at WT, I played on the WT football team and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
I started working for Blocker Energy of Houston (an international offshore oil driller) in 1980. I traveled the world while working with these folks to Africa, South & Central America, Austrailia, ...Expand for more
Indonesia, Malaysia, North Sea, and the Middle East.
Also during this timeframe I got married and was divorced after five years. We had no children, so being without a child is the one thing I have regretted as I grow older. I lived in Houston, San Diego and Amarillo for most of this time period.
Currently, I'm single and living in the Amarillo, Tx area. I've had girlfriends since the divorce, but none I wanted to marry, or possibly that could be vice versa. I'm employed by a major oil & gas company as a safety & environmental coordinator in the worldwide drilling & completions department.
In my free time, I love traveling (imagine that), boating, anything outdoors, riding my harley davidson motorcycle, and bar-b-ques.
