Al Tattersall:

CLASS OF 1978
Sardis, BC

Al's Story

Living in Nevada, working right now in Mexico and sometimes in my living room. Two girls in high school, my favourite people in the universe. Season passes at Tahoe, we ski enough to pay the passes off every year but would rather go more. Enough triathlons to have a reason to (sort of) stay in shape. Reputation as a recreational nazi, but more on history than on present. Kind of irritating to not have the time or energy to do the monster trips as much any more, but older and more beat up is a little erosive. (Rage against the dying of the light, and who said the light is dying anyway?) We do what we can. Work too darn much, squeeze in the mountains in between, plenty of time for rest when we're dead. Saving for my next sailboat....Expand for more
Sold the last one to buy this house after three years of not working. Highly recommend the not working part. The sailing part needs more consideration. There are reasons normal people live in houses and not on the ocean. (Safety, security, stability etc) Doing a whole lot better with my kids education than I did with my own. Home schooling on the boat helped, as did the energy and far-outness of the lifestyle. This is a blind broadcast... I look at the profiles if there are any but haven't joined to see who you are who've signed the guest book. I'm kind of curious, I just haven't. Whether you have or not, I do hope you also have energy and far-outness and at least a bit of joy in your lifestyle, and thanks for reading this far.
