Alan's Story

After graduating FHS in '70, attended Univ of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating in '74. Attended Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, IM Internship at Beth Israel in NYC, then off to Oregon for 2 yrs in Public Health Service with wife Elizabeth. Finished training in Pulmonary/Critical Care in CT where I practiced for 10 years before starting to get involved with Hospital Administrative work. Earned a Master's in Managemen...Expand for more
t from Tulane in 1998. Spent 9 years as VP & Chief Medical Officer at the Hospital in New London, CT and since March 2008 took position as Exec. VP & Chief Medical Officer at Gwinnett Health System in Metro Atlanta area (Gwinnett County). Along the way had 2 daughters. Younger is senior at College of Charleston (SC) and the older is 4th year Veterinary student at University of Florida school of Veterinary Medicine.
