Alan's Story
Life
I currently work at Chisum ISD in Paris, TX as Technology Coordinator. After coming to Paris on a baseball scholarship to Paris Junior College, I met the girl I would marry and raise two kids with. We had short stays in Austin (two years) and El Paso (one year at Hanks HS as tenis coach for me), then moved to Paris where we have been the last 22 years. I have been a teacher/coach before moving in to the network administrator area of education. I worked for 10 years at North Lamar ISD, a couple years with Tandy Corp., and the last 10 years here at Chisum ISD. I coached a baseball team that went to state in 4-A in 1987. consecutive years of sweepstakes wins at UIL competition! Son Daniel is 23 and graduated in May 2002 from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in geography. He played trombone in the Pride of Oklahoma band. (Fun to watch those games with 75,000 fans!). Daughter Emily is 18 and graduated from North Lamar H.S. here in Paris where she played flute in the band. She was elected drum major for 2001-2002. She is attending Texas A&M Commerce, will be in the band, and will study music. I now golf whenever I can and always shoot in the 70's (if it gets any hotter, I go in!). In some ways, 1972 seem like yesterday, and other ways it seems like a lifetime ago. I miss it sometimes. See y'all at the 30th!
