Alan's Story
I have had quite an adventure in my life. I have tried many career paths. I went to college, then joined the Air Force. I got married, left the Air Force, worked in several occupations, then went back to college. I earned a B.S. in Business Management, and tried production management, banking, and worked at a cement plant as a kiln operator. During that time, I had my son Ted, he is now 20 years old, my first wife and I parted ways when he was 5. I had the privilege of raising him, and in a couple of years, had help raising him with my current wife. We have been married...Expand for more
for 11 years now. She has supported me through the lean times, which aren't quite over yet. We have a daughter, Elaina, that is 8 years old and is very intelligent. She ranks as the top student in her class. I have also embarked on yet another career. I finished my second degree ( A.S. in Culinary Arts) and am working as a Sous Chef at a local restaurant. Of all the things in my life cooking has always brought me the greatest joy. So now I am finally living my dream job. I am fatter now, but also a calmer person.
