Alan Selch:  

I was born, in the mid fifties and raised in Steamboat, the son of a dairyman and a nurse. I pretty much lived on the ski mountain where my parents later ran the first food concession at the newly opened Storm Mountain, later renamed Mt, Werner. I graduated high school at SSHS, then worked and went to college at Mesa College now known as Colorado Mesa University. I was married the first time 1976. We had two kids, Lauren and Aaron . Was divorced 1994. Remarried 1994, two stepsons, Nick and Alex . Lauren is married and has three kids, Nathan , Elizabeth, and Ani . She graduated Mesa State College magna cum laude with a BS in Nursing. Aaron has done several tours on a fishing boat off Alaska, is an awesome skier, is heavily into weight lifting (pardon the pun),and lives in Bellevue WA. Alex spent ten months in Switzerland as an exchange student and has toured Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Greece, Italy, France, and Switzerland.
