Alan's Story

After owning & operating a couple Texaco Stations as the "so called energy crisis" started, I told Texaco where to put their stations & got into Body Shop & Insurance claims adjusting. Adapted towards Body Shop and began Outside Sales & estimating for 1-Day paint & body. Got transferred from "shop to shop" then advised I was their "location Builder". Finally fed up with moving from shop to shop & all the driving-I told them where to put it too. In my biggest & wildest "drunken stooper" of '83 I decided to take the family & follow friends to Salt Lake (Planet Utah). Got right on as an auto adjuster then wound up back in sales for Maaco Auto Painting. Another "wild hair" poked me in '96 from all the traffic (& City) becoming like L.A.,...Expand for more
rude people and the Church, I figured one more move. 65-miles East up I-80 into Evanston WY. The best move I ever made where there are only around 12k people, 7-signals & everything one could want-even a "Super Wal-mart" (BFD) More good paying jobs than workers & no State income tax. I live on a culdesac street, 50' from the Bear River in "peace & quiet"! Just me, my 110# Lab & her Cat. I drive a big rig now hauling Hazmat in "double (train) tanks as the town is too small for Body Shop "outside sales". Kids (& Grand) are 65-100 miles West & only visit on occasions making for a quiet or "the simple life". Anyone feeling the "want to call" or a place to visit for a vacation, my cell phone is 307.799-4606 aasmith at allwest dotnet
