Alan Cooper:

CLASS OF 1976
Sacramento, CA

Alan's Story

Life How in the Hell is everyone doing? Hope life has treated you good. Still looking young but beginning to feel old. I'm a long time government employee and work for the State of California. I live in Cameron Park and love it here. I moved out of Sacramento in 1997 and have never looked back. It's a nice community up here in the foothills and I have some space to breathe. After high school I got involved in auto racing and met my wife, Sharon, at the race track. I was working two jobs to support my race car and finally decided to sell the car and get out of the racing business. Racing is a very expensive hobby. I then got a job with the State of California and went back to college to get educated in my profession, which is accounting. I have two daughter, one is 21 years old and is attending college at the University of California at San Diego. The other is 7 ...Expand for more
years old and is in the 3rd grade. Big spread between kids. I'm now involved with Jeeping as a hobby. I'm a member of the Sacramento Jeepers and the California 4-Wheel Drive Association. I have one of those jeeps that is lifted with big tires and I go 4-wheeling on outdoor trails during the weekends with the jeep club. I just got back from the 39th Annual Sierra Trek, which is a big 4-wheel drive event at Meadow Lake near Truckee. The event lasted for August 11th-14th and attracted about 1,500 people who camped out and went on 4-wheel drive trails. All food was provided as well as a live band Friday and Saturday night. It's pretty much a big four day party in the mountains. I still enjoy wine, women and song. That's pretty much what my life is all about for anyone who cares. Best wish to all of you, who like myself are from the class of 1976!
