Alan Davis:  

I started working at The Blade less than a week after I graduated from Bowsher, and was hired full time in 1971. After a five year apprenticeship and technical school, I became a journeyman newspaper web pressman. I spent the next 41 years working virtually around the clock but was offered a severance package in November of 2011. I accepted the package and retired at age 59. Married twice with two children from my first marriage, Phillip 1977-2007 and Lindsay 1980-. Two granddaughters aged 8 and 12. I spend my time now pursuing my art, mostly sculpture and graphite portraiture, and generally doing what I want to do (which is harder to get used to then most people think) I still revel in my 60's music as well and have a collection of nearly 1800 tunes from that decade. I am also a fan of film music and film in general, leaning more towards fantasy films but other genres as well.
