Alan's Story
Alan continues to reside on the old Taylor Family Farm outside of Wapato He is married to former classmate, Sharon (Shay) Dillman.
He graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Communications. Also graduated with a Master's Degree in Communications from the University of Washington.
He taught all courses except for speech over 17 years in the Department of Communications at Central Washington University. An Associate Professor, he was also Department Chair and Vice President of the Faculty Senate.
More recently he spent 15 years building the Pink Lady Brand Appl...Expand for more
e which now has a value of over $300 million a year to its growers and shippers. He was also involved in marketing programs for Brandt's Fruit Trees and an international tree fruit nursery system with ten members around the world. International travel has included Asia, Europe and Africa.
He also has a company called Taylor Ann Enterprises LLC which is named after his granddaughter who has Cerebral Palsy. This company is involved in several business ventures and projects dealing with Cerebral Palsy including Liberty Swing in Australia which is a large unit holding a wheelchair.
