Life
My Spouse
Met Linda in one of my medical technology classes. She was my parter for learning how to perform venipunctures. She had a huge bruise and didn't speek to me for awhile after that!
My Pets
We are down to only 3 cocker spaniels and a recent addition of a Siberian Huskey (our son's dog). We are currently sharing our home and lives with 10 psitticines (parrots), mostly macaws. We actually sells birds and accessories, but these 10 are ours. Except for the Moluccan Cockatoo which is our sons and will definately not stay with us when he grows up and leaves home.
My Kids
Linda and I had our first, and only child on Feb, 6th. 1988. His name is Albert (IV). Waited 14 years after high school to have a child, but he is definately worth the wait. He is very interested in hockey and has been playing for 5 years now. ...Expand for more
This fall he made the Junior Roughriders travel team (WWW.ROUGHRIDERSHOCKEY.COM). I enjoy watching him and his team play and hope he will be able to develope his hockey skills into a scholership and/or minor/pro level opportunities.
My Job
I am a medical technologist for University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. I work in the blood bank performing serological testing on both patient and donor samples.
As a secondary function I am also an application analyst for our laboratory information system where I build and maintain our database tables define procedures and ensure regulatory (FDA) complience. I also write the code necessary for reports and custom applications used in our computer system (CERNER healthcare ).
I have also owned and operated my own gunsmithing business for almost 17 years as a professional hobby.
