Albert's Story
In 1975 I had a brain tumor that prevented me
from graduating from NYU Graduate School of Business. A few years later I did get that degree from
The University of Southern California, but the opportunity for a career in finance was gone.
I am a real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
I am the Honoary Chairman of the Goodman Theatre,
and I am the President of the Edith-Marie Appleton Foundation.
I have a lovely son late in life, and a wife that treats
me like a King
The Donald Trump is mentally ill,
and I would rather give up my tax breaks than the
constitution of the United States.
I recorded Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock and got to meet
him a few days later. He was a gentleman. The second disc on the Hendrix at Woodstock package has
my black and white video from my half inch reel to reel r...Expand for more
ecorder. How I got there is a long story.
I live in the same home that my Mom bought in 1948.
From age 18 to 38 I lived in Los Angeles, New York,
Boston, and overseas on the road. Then I came home. Our son is in Harber School just as I was in the 1950's. Finding old friends from there is the most interesting idea of this service.
My father's father owned the town of Goodman, WI
and ran the lumber mill. Because of his efforts to support selective logging, it is still running today.
My mother's father started the Appleton Electric Company in 1903. It was sold to Emerson in 1982.
He was a Swedish immigrant who changed his name
to sound English. There is no connection, whatsoever,
between us and Appleton Wisconsin, thank you, and I get tired of telling that story.
Happy Trails, Albert
