Aleda's Story
Life
Retired from the rat-race coming on three years ago. Had the job from hell and didn't want to die at my desk. Roger and I moved from our mini-ranch(?) in the Antelope Valley shortly after, the area is not much different than L.A. now. We've move north. It's still relatively small and quiet. Beautiful and serene..Much needed. We have three grown kids. Two sons, Tom and Jim; one daughter, Jennifer,now deceased. One granddaughter-Victoria 13. one grandson, Jordan 10 and one step granson Eric, coming on 21. Good greif! We are still working into retirement and being with each other nearly full-time. Still things to accomplish at our new home.
update-7/5/07 Our grandchildren(our joys in life) are now almost 16 and 12. We enjoy seeing them perform at piano recitals(local) and both are interes...Expand for more
ted in playing the guitar. Our grandaughter who has been performing in front of a mirror since she recognized herself, has now signed up with (I guess)an agency. Her lifelong dream. Go for it, I say!
Roger and I have joined a local birding club and have gone on a few outings with them. Quite an experience to see hundreds of Sandhill Cranes and Canada Geese coming in to roost for the night. We are also able to "bird" locally. The area is very attractive and on the flyway, so to speak.
In the meantime we also Lost our daughter, Jennifer earlier this year. She was a "special child" who needed lots of "special" care. She developed a massive infection that she was unable to fight. Not uncommon for persons like her, we have learned. Now she too can run and play.
