Alejandro's Story
Life
I have traveled a long distance since graduation. Traveled east through Arizona to Arkansas, and through Nevada to Utah. Have worked in Knoxville, Tn and visited Memphis. Passed through St. Louis to Cape Girardieu several times. Recently worked in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Still have not realized my dream of visiting the east coast (maybe after retirement). Took family to Mexico City, visited pyramids.
Have had several jobs, but currently work for Procter & Gamble. With the recent stock split, I should retire with lots of $ at age 55. But money is low on my list of needs. The simple experience of life is full personal treasures. I love music, from Mozart to Modern Pop. Still play back in my mind the tunes we played in band class.
My journey has taken me past prejudice and stereotypes - I appreciate people from the farthest corners of the world. Have worked with people from all over the world, one of my best worker friend being from Uganda, educated in London, speaks the best Queen's english I've ever heard.
Worked with Iranians, Iraqi, Lebanese and many others of different religions, beliefs, creeds and cultures. I love immersing myself in other cultures, their history and way of life.
Favorite movies: Ama...Expand for more
deus, Crouching Tiger / Hidden Dragon, Das Boot, Bend It Like Beckam, Whale Rider.
Now live in wonderful dreamland of Ventura County, Reagan country...yes, Ive been to Reagan's Library and paid my respects (got to see the funeral motorcade). Travel to events in LA. So much to do here, not enough time. Have bumped into a few of film stars (at malls and restaurants). Malibu not far from here. But I do miss the world class SF Symphony (wife and I sat behind the bass section at Tchaikovsky's 6th - incredible).
My journey is long and has taken me through many paths, but surprisingly enough, everyone seems to have disappeared after Edison graduation. Have seen hardly anyone. But, memories are powerful and so vivid, I can still see mostly everyone in my mind. I do miss you all, and if I could relive my years at Edison, I would live them differently. I would show my respect and love for all, for back then you were all my close family.
Would love to hear from any and all of you. A simple note would add to the riches of my life. Have so much to say, oh so much...but must go for now (practicing dancing to Bollywood music). Bye.
P.S. - I miss the girl that always sat in front of me in all my classes - friends always.
