Books I forgot I had #1. This one is really rare. A copy of A.A. Milne's theatrical adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice," from the era before he conceived Winnie-the-Pooh. Weirdly unknown, published in the 1930s. I gathe
Books I forgot I had #2. This was Will Eisner's final book. I was setting up an interview with him --a man whose work I'd admired for decades, the father of the modern graphic novel-- and his publicist and I agreed to doi
Books I forgot I had #3: This little volume was Dorothy Parker's first book. Apparently, it is very hard to find in even a tattered dustcover like this. She was quite a hit, selling over 40,000 copies in multiple printing
Books I forgot I had #4. Like many of my art books, this lacked a proper home on the shelves. Piled up books tend to be forgotten. And this is a particularly nice one by a great illustrator.
Books I forgot I had #5: This was released in 1974. Herblock (Herbert Block) was the king of editorial cartoons at the time -- and he'd covered Nixon's entire career.
Books I forgot I had #6: This was released before the film. People knew the name Tim Burton, of course. It's a strange little story, mostly like the film, but not entirely. In the book, we see Burton's original art, and
Books I forgot I had #7: I love Erte's work, but this is another one that was too big for the older shelves. Nobody draws like Erte today, save the marvelous P. Craig Russell.
Books I forgot I had #8: Yes, I paid for it.
Books I forgot I had #9: I've collected so many Feiffer books over the years, I've forgotten which have what strips. The man is a marvel, and he has a singular style. These are some of his earliest collections.
Filling it in an inch at a time
Definitely making progress
Full at last, full at last! Thank Claude Alrighty, they're full at last!
Hey! Darrin Bell --whose work I've often mentioned here-- just won the NAACP Image Award!
The isolation continues. But I guess I've got enough stuff to read.
It being 4/20, I figured I'd brush off this old limerick I wrote in 2020.

Me and my twin sister Maureen. This is the first year in which I didn't have the joy of talking to her on our birthday. Alas.
For Passover, I present all and sundry with--
