Amy's Story

Life After graduating from Granada in 1994, I went to Las Positas College for two years. After attending Las Positas I went to Cal Poly and majored in Human Development. I knew my whole life that I wanted to be a teacher, being a student at Cal Poly made me want to become one even more. After graduating from Cal Poly in 1998, I went to UCSB to get my Teaching Credential and Masters in Education. It was in the teacher education program that...Expand for more
I met my husband Sean. After graduating we were both lucky enough to get teaching jobs in Santa Barbara. I taught Kindergarten for seven years and have been teaching first grade for the past two. I love it! Sean and I got married in 1999 on the beach here in Santa Barbara and bought a home in the same year. In 2003 we welcomed our little girl Kayley into the world, and last October we welcomed a little boy named Quinn. Life is pretty great!
