Alexander's Story

I graduated from Rider University in 1964 with a B.S. in Accounting. Studied hard but also had a good time at Frat Parties and playing intermural basketball . Returned home in June 1964 to find an order from the draft board to either report for active duty shortly, qualify for a deferrment, or join the National Guard. The decision was easy. I spent 6 months of active duty and two weeks each summer at Camp Drum NY. In Octover of 1964 the United States became involved in Viet Naum. I was quite lucky to have missed the war. e a software engineer in Reston VA, Matthew, a consulting to the Pharmacutical Industry in Brooklyn NY, and Alex III who teaches Psychology at Texas State University in Austin Texas. The most notable points in my careen were as Controller of a US Industries company in Allentown, Controller of the Rexroth Corp. (later was Boch Rexroth after an acquistion) in Bethlehem and finally as Assistant Controller for the Diocese of Allentown. My work was very interesting and took me to England, The Netherlands, and Germany. I will be 70 in 2012 as will be most of our class.and am start ing the second year of full retirement hoping to do some traveling
