Alice's Story
I left Brooklyn in 1967 when I married and moved to Lakewood, Ohio. There is where I have lived ever since. During that time I had a daughter in 1971, Amy. I then divorced in 1974. I remarried in 1975 and had a son, Alex in 1981. I divorced, again, in 1992.
I have been in a Lesbian relationship since 1993, with partner, Barb. We married in Windsor, Ontario in 2004. We live in a beautiful old home just outside Lakewood in the Edgewater area of Cleveland. My daughter and son are still very active in our...Expand for more

I have worked for Lakewood City Schools since 1985. I was Harrison Elementary School secretary for 21 years and went to the Lakewood Board of Education as secretary to the Curriculum Coordinator three years ago. I have been my union's president for the past three years.
I look forward to retirement next year and hope to do much traveling. My partner and I have three miniature dachhunds and travel the US in our 28' travel trailer.
