Alice's Story
after being married and divorced I lived at home in the same original house for 60 years. I worked as a school bus driver for 21 years, then went to the county for civil service My last 18 years was working for the District attorneys office for an ada down in wonderful Long beach. I retired from there moved to Florida, my life long dream. Now I live in Palm Harbor Florida, I live the life of a contented person. I am into Greyhound rescue, I own two greyhounds, who are the love of my live. Skyler is a 90 lb. male, and Faith is my failure from fostering a 66 lb female both red fawns. Both certified service dogs. They go with me all over. I also have a rescued cat. She is a snowshoe chocolate point female, named, Mia. It took me a couple of years to get her to come out to me but she is a charmer now,. I travel with friends one who is a greyhound owner too, and from NY but she snowbirtds. I am here for the duration. I love it here I love doing Meet...Expand for more
and Greets for the organisation Greyhound Pets of America Tampa Bay every sunday. The neighbors all look out for one another we are mostly single ladies, We get together every fri at 4:00 by the pool and have wine and snacks. During the hot summers I spend most of my time in the pool, which is right behind my house. Very few use it so its pretty private. Most of my days are spent with my dogs I take them to the gulf and they love to go in but only so far! I love to eat out, I prefer watching TV at home and curling up with a good book I read a lot. During the winter months its not cold and thank god theres no snow to shovel. I can do sand I like that better. We go out a bout every other week to different places for dinner I still go to Hockey games down here, although my team has changed to the Tampa bay lightning I have a friend who drives into tampa when we have a game. Iam happy and content I wish my children were as fortunate as I am.
