Alice's Story

Life is an interesting journey. It doesn't always go as planned. Everyone has probably said that at one point in their life.I never thought I would ever be traveling back in time on Classmates.com. Funny how time flies. How cliché is that? LOL. Oops, I have to remember I'm not texting. Remember pagers? Who would of ever thought there would be smart phones. I might be remembered by some as the girl who got hit by a car her senior year. I never came back after that and I still have the scars. What a way to end senior year. At least I went out with a bang-literally. One of the exciting things I'm attempting at this season in my life is writing a book. It's fiction and geared towards young adults and teenagers. My goal is to get it published by next year. It was one of the gifts that I have since I was a small child and no one really knew about it in my high school years. I wrote more than one story while going to Magnolia. I pretty much kept those as my little secret. Some of you influenced the characters I created. I also do remember writing a lot of poems and a few guys at Magnolia using them to impress a girl. You know who you are. An adventure I had was mingling with some major music celebrities and sports stars during my first year in college in the early 90s. My best friend got me a job working for a company who did security for celebrity parties and event...Expand for more
s. Our job was to keep out the press who were not on the list. They had to have special passes to get in. I met or hung out with Boys to Men, Kenny G, Babyface,Toni Braxton, Reba, Notorious Big, Michael Douglas, Jim Brown the famous running back for the Cleveland Browns(we hung out at his mansion),and many others. Yes, I even dated a singer. He was new on the scene. It was surreal. Most young people today do not even know who these people are, including my family. I tell them that back in the day it was cool,ha ha. Speaking of guys, we had a lot of cute guys at Magnolia and I crushed on the same ones most of you other girls did. I wasn't one of the popular ones, but if I could go back in time, I would be having a lot of fun. Funny how confidence is usually a late bloomer for most. The ones I usually liked best were the smart ones, brains over beauty. If you had both, look out. All you females understand that. If you are smart, wear it with pride. I am a true geek and proud of it. Looks like I've been on here too long. I do love to write. Time to step back to life and get working on all of my responsibilities I now have. Traveling in time has been fun. No matter where you are at in life and what path it took, always be true. The person you look at in the mirror should be someone you want to know. If you don't, make sure to take the steps to change that. AYS 9-11-2016
