Alice's Story
Worked as a carpet claims manager, dispatcher and also quite a few years in International Shipping Export.
Since 2001 I have been a caregiver to my beautiful granddaughter....have been raising her since she was 3 months old and is now a senior in high school. Many health issues and lots of trips to hospitals and doctors for her. Also was a 100% 24/7 caregiver to my dad may he always RIP.
After graduation moved to Rahway NJ. Took a company transfer from World Carpets to Georgia. Finally made it to Ft Myers Fl. in Oct 2012. Love being near the water.....plan on having my last minutes of life on the beach and then my ashes thrown into Sanibel Island.

If I won $100 million, I'd give alot of it to kids charities, then spend the rest on myself, family and some friends.
My best friend would tell you I'm sociable and considerate and have a big heart, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a b-t-c-.
I still wear jeans, heels, t-shirts etc. cause I don't always go according to style. love my hats, scarfs, and accessories. But since living in Fl have yet to wear jeans so they all went to Goodwill. ...Expand for more
Now it is flip flops, sandals, etc.
I will never forget my mom - who passed in 1987 - and all the wisdom and advice she has given me. Also miss my cousin Adrian who passed in 2003 and my dear nephew Erich in 2013. So many are resting up there but I know they will all be there along with my pets who passed waiting for me at the Golden Gate.
my favorite way to relax is sitting on the beach with a book and good music or on my balcony looking at the palm trees. I miss my family who are still in Jersey but I do have my dear Tante and Onkel not far from me in Cape Coral.
I was born in Germany and me, my older sister, parents, Tante and Onkel and cousin Rolf came to America -- right off the ship on Dec 27, 1956. Still remember standing on line with all the other kids to get our inoculated. I didn't understand English at all till I started school and that's how my parents learned the language. Back then they had to learn how to read, write, understand, etc the English language before they could become citizens. Unlike today when other's have interpreters..
Life has been a struggle but that's what life is about I guess.
