Life 4/25/10 began to lose my hair. 4/26/10 had my head shaved. What a feeling. Better to have it all done and over with. Not so sad as with taking each handful of hair off my head. They say I have a beautiful head....lol. ************************************** Treatments began on 4/8/10 - Herceptin infusion and 4/9/10 chemo. The chemo will be total of 6 sessions (1 every 3 weeks) which will include the Herceptin. Herceptin will then continue for 1 year (1 every 3 weeks). That will then keep me a Breast Cancer Survivor! Only side affects so far are feeling like I've had too much coffee the night before. Thank God. *********************************** Today is January 30, 2010 and I've been home from the UCLA's Hospital since the 28th after having a bilateral mastectomy on 1/26/10. Doing well and thankful that I'm cancer free. Will have to yet go through chemo therapy but know that this will only bring everything to complete status of healing. Thank God this year will be a year of HEALING!************************************** On December 6, 2009 I was blessed with a new Grandson, Andrew James Stroud. My Son, John Stroud and his wife Kristy has delivered a very beautiful baby boy who decided to come to this world 1 month early and weigh in at 5lbs & 13oz, 18" long but healthy. He tried so hard to make it here on my birthday (12/5) but still made it in time before my surgery which will be on 1/26/10. He is one of my angels who watch over me.
