Alice's Story
Since High School.
I married the love of my life Jerry Sweeney in 1974. We have 3 beautiful children, Jeremy age 34, Aryn age 33, and our angel, Kaitlyn who is 24. We have three wonderful grand children, Rachael who is 4, Myles who is 2 and Kathryn who is just turning a year old this week.
I became a Medical Assistant and worked with several Cardiologists here in Ventura County over a thirty year period. I decided I needed a change and acquired a position at the local Adult School, got my teaching credential, and began teaching Medical As...Expand for more
sisting. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I taught at the Simi Valley Adult School for 10 years. I retired this last January. Jerry teaches Math at the California Youth Authority, where he works with special ed. students. He is a fantastic teacher and can relate to the students in a way where they feel safe and for some it is the first time in their lives they have ever felt safe.
Jerry is now looking forward to retirement, and the three of us will move to our house in WA. It is right on the water, very peaceful.
