Alicia's Story

Life After graduating from Marshall High I joined the U.S. Navy (I don't regret it). It was one of the best experiences of my life. I met and married the father of my two children (Renáe and José). We divorced after 6 years of marriage and settled in California where we share custody of our children. Now I work for the FAA as an Air Traffic Control Specialist and am currently pursuing my pilot's licens...Expand for more
e. Workplace After serving in the Navy as an Assistant Forecaster, I accepted a job as a National Weather Service Weather Observer for two contract companies. Working at airports gave me a desire to control air traffic. So now I am an ATCS (Air Traffic Control Specialist) for the FAA. I am also a student pilot. I got that bug while earning my degree in Aviation Science/Commercial Pilot...I just wanna fly.
