Alicia's Story

Life ~I retired April 1, 2007 from working at Enraf Fluid Technology, formally known as Lubrizol Performance Systems as an Electronics Tech/Assembler in Roswell, GA. I live in Alpharetta, GA. I'm now pursuing a career as a professional singer. Let's keep our finger crossed, I hope to have my album out by winter of 2008. If push comes to shove, no later than spring 2009. The relationship that was unbreakable class of 98 BHS, has broken. Cory Ezzard and I are no longer a couple due to the fact that he cheated on me (with a white girl - she was 15yrs old when he was 21yrs old - HOW SICK IS THAT!!!) and had a baby boy, (Cory JR) during the course of our 5yr relationship. He dated her 3yrs out of the 5yrs that we were together. He lived a double life. I'm just glad I woke up and realized that he was just using me for my money. I was gainfully employeed at BellSouth Telecommunications as an Electronics Technician and the bread winner of the household when Cory and I were together. I ended the relationship with him on February 27, 2003. I don't have any children, although, I do have a niece named Zhanei (9-11-99) that looks just like me whom I consider to be a mini-me, a niece named Azariah (11-8-02) whom I adore, and a new addition to the family, my niece Nyla (12-13-07). One day soon I will be a professional singer. What I've always wanted to be...I tried out for the 2nd & 3rd American Idol but, I wasn't what they were looking for. I work in the Tape Ministry at the church that I attend (Mount Patmos Baptist Church) in Decatur, GA. I also do solo's for weddings, funerals, bithdays, etc. I received my BS degree in Technical Management for Small Business & Entrepreneurship at the Devry University on Oct 28th, 2007. If, all goes well, you all will hear me on the radio in the near future. I'll touch basis from time to time to let you all know how I'm coming along. Recently I've been perfroming at open mic nights at various locations. I performed at the Urban Grind, Javology Cafe (I won 1st place), the Buckhead Blue Room (Made the top 10 for the Atlanta Idol), and did I mention I'm one of the top 10 contestants for the Atlanta Id...Expand for more
ol (V-103 & Taboo 2 Bar & Bistro). I'm also associated with Dead Bolt Entertainment & Media Production. I'm working on my first album and have just been getting some really good experience and exposure. I'll keep you posted. Until Next Time....To be continued... School ~I won't tell whom I had a crush on in high school. Mr. Kemp and Mr. Tarleton are the teachers that inspired me the most. I'd rather not repeat high school over again, once for me is enough. My funniest memories is when I used to ride the marta bus with Richard and Shawn and the good times we used to have. My happiest times was when I was in Mrs. Thrower's drama calss. My craziest school memories is when I dressed up for blast from the past for the 97' & 98' school years. College ~I never really had a roomate in college, although I did used to spend the night over Tawana Watson's on Wed.'s to be on time for our 7am class on Thursdays. Marianne was all we had to count on for food. Those sub sandwiches sure were good. I used to work at MCI and it took me 4hours to and from that part time job of 4hours which, seemed to me like I was working there full time. I used to get about 3 - 5 hours of sleep and had to be back to school. I'd rather not go back to my college days but, to just know that I made it through. Workplace ~I've worked at Burger King and KFC in high school. I was an intern as a receptionist/accounting clerk at Datamatx summer of 98' before I started college. I worked at MCI and the DeVry Deli while in college. My 1st job out of college was working at BellSouth as an ET then, as a Service Rep due to surplus. I worked at South Fulton Medical Center after BellSouth as a housekeeper. I worked at Enraf Fluid Technology, formerly Lubrizol Performance Systems as an ET. I've now retired (April 1, 2007) at the age of 27yrs to pursue a career as a professional solo singer. I am currently a Dead Bolt Pearl. I'm working towards becoming the best that I can be as a singer. Hopefully my albulm will be dropping by winter of 2008. I am a contestant for the Atlanta Idol (V-103 & Taboo). I could really use this extra exposure to get in the know.
