Alisa's Story
Well,where to start. After graduation I moved to Sacramento and started working for The Franchise Tax Board. I met the love of my life in Sac in January of 1987. We married in July of 1992 and began our family in November of 1994 at which time I quit working for the state to become a full time mom and have been ever since. I have two beautiful daughters who I adore with all my heart. They inspire me to live life to the fullest and enjoy each day that we are given. Tragically the love of my life was taken away from us far too early in December of 2004. The girls and I moved away to the mountains in November of 2005 to help heal our souls for a couple of years. We found a very peaceful place up near Susanville with a population of 70. Yes that's right, just 70 people and we were all spread out. er,quail and fox were our everyday visitors. The snow was beautiful and we actually got to enjoy all four seasons up there. The peace and solitude was great but we began to miss being near family. So we moved to Ripon in March of 2007 where the rest of my family lives. It's a cute little town, reminds me a lot of Dixon growing up. Although I love my new little town my goal is to return to the mountains once my girls are grown. I miss the everyday beauty of God's country up there. Living amongst the wildlife is so peaceful and rewarding. There is no traffic or crime to deal with. The three of us girls are learning to make it through life on our own and are doing very well these days. We've learned just how precious and short life really is.
