Alisa Laurendi:

CLASS OF 1978
Middletown, MD

Alisa's Story

After working at the FBI in Washington from June 1978 to May 1986 I took several years off being a stay at home mom. I did work off and on part-time retail work but only the hours that my husband could watch them. I lived in Alexandria Va for 8 years which I like it is a party town. Than we moved to Silver Spring MD for about 10 years than we moved to Florida for 5 years and now we are SC. SC the part where we lived was hardly nothing here but it has grown more than the Dollar General stores. I work one of the stores in the area. It changes you because you come into all kinds of people. My daughter is done college and now working with handicapped kids in the Massachusettes area. My son still is going to MIT and doing great. A childhood memory was that I hated school because I was so over weight and the kids made fun of me. I hope old friends ...Expand for more
remember the period that I lost a lot of weight and got pretty thin even if did not last long. I hope they remember I got away from there with my okay grades and worked with the FBI. I was not in the in crowd. I always wanted to be a secretary when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.. My favorite way to relax is to take a very hot bubble bath, read or play games on the computer. I also like talking to my friends too. Write love letters and have someone put them in the locker of the poor guy I liked. So embarrassed of that now. My letters were always annomyous. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a soda, some lunch , and co workers to talk to to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero is my friend Virgialine she helps keep me grounded. My inspiration is also my two kids.
