Alison's Story

Married, 4 grown children.. only 1 has left home so farr.. 1 working the other 2 in college.. In this economy i will never retire! Still a nurse at Beth Isreal Deaconess medical center in Boston.. So as of Jan 20,,2013 still married, all children grown and 1 living at home...maybe he will move out soon!!! All others on their own but not married... no grandchildren!!! Yes, I am still living in Georgetown, still working at Beth Israel Deaconess full time as a Nurse Manager and I am going to school!!! Yes, I am having a mid life crisis...ha ha.. my kids think I am a geek...well I kind of was in school,.. I am going to Simmons College to get a Masters in Nursing Administration. Have to excersise the old brain to stay young! ha ha... I love it! Still go to my cottage in Maine in the summer and I will never sell that... too many memories and good times and the perfect place to relax and forget about the...Expand for more
world! I have been driving till recently through Malden in the morning due to awful traffic on the way to work.. It has changed so much...some for better.. My family still lives there... yes my parents are both alive and very well... because they always took care ot themselves and stayed active. My 3 bothers all still live there ...one of them is a ward counciler.... and I think he has done a wonderful job. I say hooray to him too for starting the Mystic Valley Charter school!!! jTHey are on the top 10 list for being one of the best charter schools in th country! I truely believe it is due to having RULES!!! That is partially what is wrong with schools today... these kids have no rules and teachers in public schools are not given the power to uphold them or hold kids accountable, I am so glad I am not a kid growing up today!!! It is so unsafe out there.. Well, enough of this. Happy New year to all !
