Alison's Story

Life I'm still at the Dept of Welfare as a Caseworker and looking forward to retiring, but that won't be for 5 years and 4 months (sigh). One of my hobbies has expanded into a very full activity where I have met a lot of really wonderful people. I started taking Country line dance lessons, then found a local place to dance on Weds night, began learning couple stuff and dancing with anybody available and from there ended up at Palisades in McKeesport some Friday nights, or Ghost Riders in Butler. njoyed it and branched into Ballroom and Swing!...joined the Bop Club for Swing dancing some Fri nights and on Sat, Dance America has a little open Ball Room dance, no pressure, so I go there and dance with the owners husband. This has me dancing w,th,fri and sat. Great fun and an expanded hobby. IF ANY BODY WANTS TO GO DANCING, CONTACT ME! I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but I am a lot better than I was and I could use the following practice. If you look closely, you might spot me in the audience at some of the dop wop and folk concerts that PBS (Channel 13) has done. I've been to 4 or 5 of them now and have enjoyed the shows. Much goes on that never makes the program when it airs or the tapes that they sell. This has also been some kind of fun.
