Alison's Story
I am retired from the East Valley School District in Yakima, WA. I worked for 31 years as a school secretary and then as a administrative assistant to the Assistant Superintendent in the administration office.. I retired and three days later, took a job at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, WA. as an administrative assistant in the President's Office. a teacher in the East Valley School District. Sadly, he passed away in March of 2013. My only son had retired from the US Air Force and moved his family to Roanoke, VA. Last year, I sold my home and packed up and moved to Virginia to be near him and his family. I must say, I love Virginia and have traveled around the state and there is so much history here. I miss friends in Yakima and Selah, where I lived, but my two grandchildren make it all worthwhile. Life is what you make it and I have made mine happy. :)
