Allan's Story
Hello, this year of 2015 I am running for Mayor of Tukwila.
I am Allan Ekberg, born and raised in Tukwila; high FHS class of '77.
Except for brief periods away (college and military duty), I've always returned to Tukwila. It is our home. My wife and I raised our family here.
I've spent the last 25 years serving the community: in the late 80âs I worked to annex our neighborhood into Tukwila, in the 90's I spent eight years on the City Council, in the ...Expand for more
00's; seven years on the Tukwila Planning Commission, and since 2008, two more terms with the City Council.
The current mayor is retiring and I want to bring a new set of leadership to the City. Leadership that provides more focus on residential neighborhoods to improve our property values and schools to better the environment in which to work, live and play.
