Allen's Story
I look back on my highschool years, and even I think I was pretty dorky. To be perfectly honest, I still think I am pretty dorky. I guess that's better than being a snob, a bully, or outright jackass!
After H.S. I went on to get my degree in Electrical Engineering from UMR (currently Missouri S&T). I worked 35 years, being unemployed only for a couple of weekends when I was changing employers. My best project over the years was one that required me to reside in Switzerland to monitor the repair of a large part of an electric generator. After 35 years I got a letter from the Social Security Administration telling me that "no matter how much more I pay in I would not get a higher payout upon retirement. I was 58 when I received this letter and I retired shortly thereafter.
I have two children, no grandchildren, have been married to the same gal for 54 years (as of April 2019).
I am active in my Church, and I volunteer three days a week in a local children's hospital, as well as in a St. Jude affiliate clinic located in the hospital where I volunteer.
What else can I say, God has blessed me!!
