Barbara's Story
Life
As of June 2014 - 40 years later, but whose counting? I feel like a walking, talking Miracle. 2 States, 3 Marriages, 3 Children, 5 Grandchildren and coming up on 27 years clean and sober. I feel blessed. I am comfortable in my own skin and I'm not ashamed of who I was or who I have become. I would not be alive today if it were not for AA and CA. OK, so I might be alive, but I would be one of the walking dead we see on the streets so often.

and simplified my life a year ago, and I am waiting tables 3 - 4 days a week in Anaheim, CA. I love it! I get an opportunity to meet people from all over the world. I work hard and have fun doing it. I may be the Restuarant's oldest employee, but I keep up with the kids just fine. I will always be a bit wacky, love my rock and roll, love making jellys & crafting stuff, having BBQ's, going to meetings, and being of service to my clean and sober fellows. I am proud of my children and I look forward to the next 40 years! I feel like I get "IT" most days... sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly... If we work for "IT". I just still can't figure out who "THEY" are... does anyone else know?
