Allen's Story
Well, where to start. I'm sitting here feeling a bit nostalgic (thus my attendance here...go figure). My children are all grown and gone or very close to it (you can't expect a 12 year old get out now, can you?). One child took my advice and married into money. One is in his second year of college.
I ask myself, even today, what do I want to do when I grow up. I still feel like I'm 20, but when I look in the mirror I see ...Expand for more
someone else. I have lived such a full life. I guess it's the influence of my Hippi Mom, but I still find joy in some of the simpler things in life. Gone so many places, been rich, been poor (trust me, rich beats the hell out of poor) and still come to the same conclusion so many others have.
To love (or have been loved) deeply and completely at least once in your life makes all the other stuff seem trivial.
