Allison's Story
I ran into Miss Halbouty of French High School in Beaumont, Texas, again a few years ago. Her brother was in Methodist Hospital in Houston and I was going to see him knowing of the connection. Lo and behold, she got there about 5 minutes after I did. Of course she did not remember me, and then began to order me around like an orderly. I took that as my cue to leave.

ishing coincidence is that I recently had a business manager working for me and she began to talk about her own high school English teacher named Rosalie. I went and got the French High School annual, covered up her name and showed her Miss Halbouty's picture, and it was the same English she teacher she had also had in Houston. Small world. But by that time, her name was Mrs. Maye.
