Allison's Story
Life
I graduated from Harvard University in 1988 with a degree in psychology, and soon afterwards moved to Denver, Colorado. I've been here every since (more or less), and completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver. I'm currently Department Chair of the Behavioral Sciences Department at Arapahoe Community College, where I teach Introductory Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Stress Management, Psychology of Gender, Social Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology. I teach online, so you can take a course from me! Divorced (thank goodness!), no kids (unless you count my dog, my cat and my snake).

m some of the best minds in their various fields, and meeting people from all over the world.
I got my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver - a small program (only 8 people!) and very challenging.
Workplace
I've worked as a phone counselor at an abortion clinic, as a case manager at a community correctional facility, as a clinician with severely mentally ill adults at a local mental health center, as a senior research associate with the Department of Public Psychiatry at the UCHSC Medical School, and now I'm teaching! I also authored a book in 2012: "Your Baby's Best Shot: Why Vaccines are Safe and Save Lives," for parents who've been misled by the anti-vaccine movement and who want the real, truthful, scientific evidence supporting vaccines.
