Allison's Story
Life
Hey, 20th anniversary is coming up on Sept 15th 2007. Actually, 21st anniv but they only do them every 2nd year. Guess who is on the reunion committee? Tix are $35 per person and $65 per couple (for dinner) and just the dance part is $5 per person. At the St Simon and St. Jude parish hall. Mixed drinks are $3.50, wine is $20 a bottle. Non-alcoholic beverages are $1. Enough business. Anyhow, I graduated from U of W with a Ba Hons in German, married a wonderful husband (Jeff) in 1998 and I have 2 boys, Zack (7) and Evan (5). Lived in Europe for a bit just prior to graduating, worked at Central Chrysler for 5 yrs, then moved to a job in the States for Chrysler for a couple years (computer tech support). Gave up tech support to work back at DCX. Jeff works for the Ministry of Corrections as a counsellor for young offenders (16 to 18 yr old males). He works steady midnights, which is a plus since the kids are all in bed by the time he gets there. Some of the stories that he comes home with would blow your mind.

The boys attend St. Pius in grades 2 and SK. Zack is a very helpful little dude. Loves recycling. We bought him some of the industrial bins on wheels for his last birthday and he just flipped, he was sooo excited. He shows everyone who comes by his "big bins". Evan is a huge mischief maker. His last birthday, he spent fishing seaweed out of the ditch with a golf ball retriever at my parents' house and wheeling it at all his friends. We got a trailer full of dirt and buried little treasure chests in it for the kids to dig up, had an inflatable water slide and bouncy palace. Add seaweed, dirt, grass and water to 10 little boys and you get the picture. And they all smelled liked rotted plant material. It took 2 days to clean my tub.
My latest hobbies, other than cleaning dirty boys, are golfing, cooking and scrapbooking. Bowling too, but just with the boys, cuz I am absolutely horrible. I suck a little less at golf, but I like the walk and it's always a blast chasing a flock of geese to get your $5 pink golfball back.
