Allison's Story
Life
Was married in '81 to Henry Muench (Class of '75, V.S. Central) of Malverne who I started dating in Nov '76. He was my senior prom date. Had our one & only child Henry Ralph IV (had to keep that name going -- but no big bucks came with it!!) Stopped working as a secretary in '91 to be a stay-at-home mom. Moved to Leonardo, NJ, at the top of the Jersey Shore in '85 & have been here ever since. Had a few odd jobs (newspaper delivery, cashier, Weight Watcher receptionist, sensory tester) here & there since then, but am waiting for son to graduate high school before any REAL job again. Husband is senior computer programmer/systems analyst at CBS. We also have a 8-yr. old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Blenheim (red/white) named Digsby. Went & had a great time at 30th reunion. Great to see everyone!
My son just graduated by the skin-of-his-teeth from high school and is working at the multiplex movie theatres where we get FREE tickets. He & his girlfriend were nominated king & queen of their prom but didn't win. He's going on vacation with her and her family end of July so he'll miss my (choke!) 50th b'day . So mom can cut loose! Woo-hoo! He's saving for a car.
I was working for the Census Bureau but that's on hold til Fall. Interesting work. Will update photos when I figure out HOW...our computer blew up recently and lost all our photos...I'm sorta not computer sa...Expand for more

School
The teacher that was my favorite was Mr. Aruti for math coz he helped me "get it" -- I later saw him at a CBS Christmas party. Apparently he had given up teaching and was now a computer consultant. Broke my heart. I told him he was the best teacher I ever had! All the other CBS folks got a kick out of "Larry" being "Mr. Aruti" though & gave him grief.
My craziest school moment was probably when my girlfriend, MaryAnne Daniels, pushed me into my tall locker & slammed the door on me thus locking me inside. They had to get a custodian to get the door off & it was at the end of the day. Everyone seemed to know about it somehow though first thing the next day -- "you were the one who got locked in her locker???" Good grief! I was mortified.
College
No college for me, just Briarcliffe Secretarial School in Mineola for 1 year. I attended with Ute Bratke and we carpooled together. It was a pretty good experience for me because I knew I didn't want to go to college and yet I wasn't ready to go straight out into the workforce, so it gave me some more self-confidence before doing so. Plus my shorthand teacher recommended me to work for her husband as a secretary before we graduated because she knew I wanted to get into "Advertising" and he was the Advertising Director of a medical magazine (boring!), so my first job was pretty much handed to me. So THAT was nice & easy!
