Alphonse's Story
Hello fellow classmates. I hope life has been kind to you all. Some of you may remember me from the freshman & JV football team, I was a receiver. I had to stop playing because my family bought a restaurant which I had to help out in. My senior year I was on the track team. I ran the 220, the 440 relay with Kevin, Pop & Clanton & also ran the occasional mile medley. I was part of the homecoming court & few people know this & probably even fewer care, but I also painted one of the floats for the homecoming.
After graduation I joined the army & went to Ft. Dix, NJ on 6 Dec 1983 for basic training. I then went to Ft. Sam Houston, Tx for my medic training. While there my then girlfriend, on May 10, 1984, gave birth to my daughter (Arlexia) who is now 23. She has made me a grandfather twice over (Takira, 4 and Azaria 2 months). Feeling old yet? You shouldn't because I don't. Well, after graduating there I went to Ft. Riley,ks where I spent 2 years in a hospital unit. Not satisfied being a medic, I returned to Tx. in Aug. 86 to start nursing training. Six weeks of class there then on to Denver, Co for my hands on nursing. I graduated Sept. 27, 1987. My son Bryce, now 20, was born Sept 21, 1987, one week before my graduation. I took a month off to enjoy the kids & get ready t...Expand for more
o move to my next post, Ft. Benning, Ga. where I finished my last 6 years of service. I went to jump school while there. I made my 5 parachute jumps & it was great. Christmas eve of 1991, I was deployed to Iraq for the first Gulf War. I was there for 4 months & thankfully we never had any casualties. Once back in the states, I served out my last bit of time & got out Sept 1993. I stayed in Ga. for 6 more years as a nurse. My second son Draven, now 9, was born Aug. 15, 1998. I relocated to Cape Coral, Fl in dec 99 & took a short lived sales manager position at the mall. After 6 months of that I took a position with a real estate investment seminar company. some of you may have heard of the company, Russ Whitney. I traveled the US for 2 years helping teach people how to invest in real estate. while doing so, I also started investing. I still invest today but have strayed from it in the past. On February 25th of 2010, I opened a music recording studio called STUDIO 225. This is a dedication to my sister whom I lost 6 yrs ago. Feb. 25 is her birthday, hence Studio 225. You can check out my website at mystudio225.com you may recognize me. Feel free to contact me if you do.
Thanks for hanging in there til the end. May god be with you in all your future endeavors.
