Alton's Story
After the 1986 Schalmont graduation:
I attended HVCC and learned some new things and met some new people. I worked and attended class. I graduated and I am still applying the knowlege that I received from that fine institution.
I lived in the Schenectady area until 1992 then lived in Memphis, TN for 4 years and got married in '93. I atteded University of Memphis for a time to learn some more. I have since moved a few times, to Washington State, Oneonta, NY, and then to Phoenix, AZ in 2000.
I am now no longer married and still live in Phoenix, AZ. I am enjoying the sunshine and the lack of rain and snow. I have never been late to work becase it is too sunny outside. I have no children and no pets...less work that way.
I have worked nearly all of my career in various types of construction and construction management. I am now the owner of a business that specializes in residential renovations.
I have done plenty of travelling around the USA and Canada. I have been to 48 of the 50 states and several provinces and I have met and worked with many interesting peopl...Expand for more
e and I am fortunate to have that opportunity.
I have been staying out of trouble and staying healthy therefore I have no police record, not much of a medical record. I am thankful for the health but I control the staying out of trouble part. Everyone should.
I have also attained a Emergency Medical Technician certification that I have used doing volunteer work for the Phoenix F.D. and have met some friends and interesting people through that.
Living here in the desert I have learned what a dry spell really means, literally. I didn't become an NHL hockey fan until I moved to the desert, I know... that doesn't sound right, but now I am a season ticket holder.
Those of you that have known me in the past as Weird Al or Crazy Al.... well I can't say that I have put that behind me because I do still get enjoyment from making others smile and laugh. I do still get a thrill from doing something on a mountain bike or a motorcycle that makes others shake their head in amazement or thinking I'm crazy, I am not sure which.
