Amanda's Story
Life
After high school, I attended college but couldn't decide what I wanted to do when I grew up, so I went to work. I married in 1989 and moved away from Wilmington, divorced in 1998 and moved back home. I returned to school in 2000 and graduated in 2002 with an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from Cape Fear Community College. elementary aged children with special needs. It is very rewarding and I really enjoy what I do. I also married again in October of 2000 to Duke Ladd, another Wilmington native. He is a musician and bandleader of "The Duke Ladd Orchestra". (you can google "Duke Ladd" for the website) I am the "girl singer" with the band....(who'd of ever thought?!?!)....talk about fun!! Life is good!!
