Amanda's Story

Well I really don't know how to remind you of who I was other than I tried to be friends with everyone. What I have been up to well that has been alot. As most of the people that knew me well in school I was planning on working in the medical field. I had even obtained my CNA certification while in school. Things changed after school finished though I went thru almost a full year of college before marrying my first husband and after getting engaged decided the medical field wasn't for me and dropped out. In 99 we were divorced. After meeting a friend and traveling with him for a week I decided to go back to school to get my CDL. I traveled the US driving cross country until 2002 when my first son was born. I became a regionial driver after that. In 2008 my now husband and I reconnected. I drove until my second son was 5 months old in 2009. When we decided that it was better that I was a stay at home mom. I married my husband in July of 09. I gave birth to my daughter in 2010 and will soon be giving her a sister to play with. I have 2 step sons that I love dearly making us a family of 7 soon to be 8. I am planning on going back to school this Jan or Feb of 13 to study acc...Expand for more
ounting. Hopefully graduating when the baby starts school in 4 years or before. I still live in Marshalltown. Hopefully soon though we will be moving out of Marshalltown. To sum things up I'm happily married with 5 soon to be 6 kids and I am loving life. I love that I am able to enjoy every moment with my children as they grow instead of only hearing about their firsts from someone else. I care deeply for my friends and love my family and wouldn't give them up for the world. My outlook on life has changed greatly over the years. I know longer bite my tongue. I learned very quickly while driving the US that we only have one life and if we want our opinions heard we must voice them. So instead of being that laid back pretty much quiet girl that everyone knew. I am now a little more outspoken. I will tell you what I think and I am straight and to the point. My thing is if you don't want to hear it then don't ask it. I will tell you my honest opinion and it will be blunt, I no longer sugar coat things. Life is to short and you need to go for what you want. Trust me if you sit and wait for it to come to you it never will. Fight for what you want for in life, you only have 1.
