Amanda's Story
Life
After high school, I spent a year in Venezuela as an exchange student. When I returned, I went to URI and majored in Spanish and elementary education. I got married in 1991 (my husband is from Sri Lanka). We have 4 children - a 17 year old boy, a 12 year old girl, a 10 ye...Expand for more
ar old girl, and an almost 4 year old boy. I taught until 1999 (first in NYC, then in Paterson, NJ and last in Hackensack, NJ). In between trying to keep up with these energetic kids, I have also completed a master's degree in linguistics and have made a few trips to Sri Lanka.
