Amber's Story
After high school, I moved to Texas in 1990 where I worked in labs while completing my degree in education. I met Kurt, my husband, in Las Vegas in 1985 (yes, while still in high school) while on a vacation with my family and Diana Sholty. We wrote letters and ran up phone bills for 8 years before he moved to Dallas to be with me in 1993. ommute anymore to Los Angeles where he continues to work as a pilot for United Airlines.
We were married on July 10, 1999, exactly 14 years to the day of having met one another. We have 2 little girls, Charlotte (born 2001) and Kirra (born 2006.) I taught for 1 year and then substituted until we had Charlotte. I have stayed home with the girls ever since, and I love doing all the "Mom" things.
