Amber's Story
Update April 28, 2010.
I have lost the love of my life, my best friend, my husband, Scott, of 23 years, to Cancer six days after losing our youngest son, Nick, to Cystic Fibrosis. It is now just Jake & I against the world. BTW, Jake is now 22 yrs. old.
After H.S, I attended Cypress College and worked with my father in the aerospace business. I am still in aerospace and my family has its own business where we design & manufacture aerospace valves for the gov't. and all the major prime contractors. I have been married for 20 years to Scott, we have 2 boys; Jacob is 19 and Nicolas is 18. We lived in Diamond Bar for 10 years, then 10 years ago we moved back into the old neighborhood in La Mira...Expand for more
da. I lost my father 3 1/2 years ago, however my mom still lives around the corner. Our oldest boy received congressional approval to attend the US Air Force Academy in colorado Springs,CO. He is double-majoring in Physics and Math. Our youngest, who is a Senior at Sunny Hills, has Cystic Fibrosis; which is a genetic, hereditary, fatal disease affecting the lungs and digestive system. He has been hospitalized at CHOC more than 50 times in his life. A lot of my time is spent running the business with my husband. The few spare moments we have at home are spent in the kitchen cooking up wonderful dishes and pastries. I hope to hear from many of my old friends that I have fallen out of touch with.
