Amber's Story
Well I have a son that just had open heart surgery! He was only 7 in a half months old. We stayed at Riley for two weeks. It was very scary and very stressfull on my husbud and I. We mad it throw and My our son is doing great. He is full of life and is now 10 months old. He is very little though. Even though that he is 10 months old he only wears a size 0-3 months still. He just weights a little over 14 pounds, and stands 27 inches. So far so go they just repaired he...Expand for more
s heart so later on in his life when he is 13 or 16 or maybe sooner he will have to have a value replaced.
Well we just got back from Riley Hospital again. My son had to have open heart surgery again. They went ahead and replaced his valve in his heart. He now has a mecanical valve in and hopefull it will last for 10 years. He just turned a year old on the 19th. We all hope he has a better second year of his life. He is doing great he weights 16.8 and is 28 inch tall.
