Amber's Story

Life After graduation, I worked for mom and dad for about a year. Then I married Dan Bridges and moved to Iowa where he was a Marine Corps recruiter. We had a little boy, Jeremy, who is now 5. We lived in Iowa for 2 years and while there, I worked for Country Kitchen as a Supervisor and another small town restaurant as a cook. The Marine Corps then sent us to Oahu for 3 years. That was amazing, except that Dan was deployed all the time to either Okinawa, Afghanistan, or Iraq. While in Hawaii I worked on base for the furniture store as a Sales Rep. I didn't feel as if I was making enough money so I started working for Pepsi as a merchandiser. I also started taking online college classes but that didn't jive to well with my work hours...Expand for more
. Things didn't work out between Dan and I, so I moved back to this wonderful town of Sedalia. I now work at the Pettis County Courthouse in the Assessor's Office as a Field Appraiser. I enjoy my job very much. Since graduating, I had a tonsilectomy done 2 years ago. That was an adventure. Not a fun one though. I had a severe allergic reaction to the anesthetic and I am very lucky to be here writing this today. I have lost some of my hearing and now sport a lovely hearing aid. I attend church in Warrensburg at First Baptist Church. This church is awesome and Pastor Bob is a blast. You should check it out sometime. Who knows, you may become a regular member. Anyway, I believe that gives you enough insight to my life so far.
