Amber's Story
Wow, '92 seems so long ago! I graduated from NIU in '98 and went on to grad school at Rockford College. I got my masters in 2000 and married in 2003. I have a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children who are the love of my life. I am a "retired" school teacher after doing my civil duty for 8 years, I am the owner of Valley View Acres; a horse breeding, training and boarding center in Woodstock. I breed colored thoroughbreds and have had Illinois' first, second and third white thoroughbreds with the first to hit the race track in 2009 (there are only 7...Expand for more
2 in the world) . In 2008, I had Illinois' first buckskin thoroughbred. Go figure: those who knew me in high school knew I loved horses and now they are my business. My husband is a detective for the Harvard Police Department and loves going for trips on his Harley.
Running has been pretty limited for me after a few marathons and 3 kids, there isn't enough time or pain killers for my poor knees!
I have lost touch with everyone that I went to school with and would love to reconnect with everyone! Life is so short and you only live once.... so enjoy!
