Been there, done that. =)
If you would care to step into my office this winter you would be standing at 10,000 feet with a 360-degree view of the snow-capped Sierras... bluebird cloudless skies above, 500 acres of fresh powder or perhaps corn snow under your skis, and the beautiful blue-green gem of Lake Tahoe 4,000 feet below...

ingle track in the mountains on my Honda and Yamaha dirt bikes, hiking with my dogs, backcountry skiing (especially to natural hot springs) and mountain biking. Kiteboarding or kiteskiing is always a nice diversion.
My husband Randy and I have two "kids"- Bodhi (lab/golden retriever) and Dooley (border collie/golden retriever). We enjoy travel- especially to Hawaii and other good SCUBA destinations and plan to visit Japan for several weeks later this year.
