Ambrosia's Story

Life Trying to sum up your life for the past (10) years in 4,000 words or less is a bit challenging, but I'll do my best. Life for me started in San Antonio, TX. I spent a majority of my early childhood there, attending Wright Elementary and Harlandale Middle School. My mom married a military man (AF) during my 6th grade year and we moved to Victorville, CA. I came back to San Antonio two years later (was getting into too much trouble in CA), lived with my aunt and finished the 8th grade at Rogers Middle School. I then relocated to Charleston, SC with my mom and her husband and lived there for 5 years. After spending a good portion of life in the military environment, I decided to join myself. I joined the Air Force in 1995 and was enlisted for 4 years. I didn't have an opportunity to travel much, as I was stationed in Los Angeles for my whole time in, but I'm not complaining. In early '99, I decided that it was time to go back home (San Anton) and thought that's where I'd stay. I managed to stay for 6 years, then was offered and accepted a job in Arizona, which is where I now reside. Not sure if I'll stay here for the rest of my life, as I always seem to find my way back home. I've never been married and have no children. rat and traveled a lot, I had the opportunity to go to several schools in several states. Depending on which school you attended with me and what part of my life that was, will tell what type of person I was at that point. When I attended Harlandale, although I was outgoing, I was a bit shy and wasn't necessarily considered part of the "cool" crowd. I was a late bloomer... didn't wear makeup and didn't do anything with my hair... Plain Jane, so to speak. I was considered a "follower" vs. a "leader." Things changed when I attended school in CA and then came back to San Antonio and went to Rogers. Although I still possessed a lot of the same characteristics as I did at Harlandale, I was beginning to discover more about myself and little by little was coming out of my shell. By the time I moved to South Carolina, I was more independent and more outspoken. I was now part of the "in" crowd and my circle of friends was bigger then I could have ever imagined. No longer a "follower", I was a full fledged "leader" and I was loving it! If the people that knew me then, could see me now, they would have a hard time believing that I was the same person. Although I can be considered the sweetest person you'll ever meet, I can also be considered the biggest "you know what" you'll ever meet, too. With me, there is no gray, only black and white... you either love me or you hate me.
